What you'll do

Your main responsibilities will include providing support and assistance to other members of the team as and when required.



You will:


maintain sewage pumping stations and associated assets by carrying out preventative maintenance on all sewage pumping stations and associated assets help to diagnose faults on both mechanical and electrical plants providing a high level of customer service manage pollutions in an effective manner ensure the health, safety and welfare of colleagues, the public and yourself.

Providing emergency cover on a standby rota is essential and required so you must have a flexible approach to working weekends.



You will be on a 1 in 4 standby rotation.

What you'll need

You will be a customer-focused person with a positive approach to resolving problems.



You will need to:


be able to work using your own initiative in a pressurised environment during the day or night be confined space trained ideally be qualified to NVQ level 2 in sewerage operations have a willingness to undertake training.

In addition, you will have mechanical and electrical skills with formal qualifications in these areas, however, this is not essential.
