Responsibilities and Duties
We are seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Service Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of industrial cleaning equipment both in-shop and on-site. You will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt, professional, and high-quality service.
- Service and repair of industrial cleaning machinery such as pressure washers, floor scrubber dryers, floor sweepers etc. This will be a variety of on-site and workshop based jobs.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance
- Respond to on-site service calls and troubleshoot issues in the field
- Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and company vehicle
- Assist in equipment installations and customer training as needed
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members
- To work as part of the Alpha Power Cleaners service team demonstrating the flexibility required to deliver Alpha Power Cleaners business requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service to Alpha Power Cleaners customers in line with both customer and business requirements in a consistent and professional manner.
- To travel as necessary to customers sites, providing the delivery and collection of cleaning equipment, adhering to the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.
- Provide detailed and logical hand over of equipment and the necessary training to customers upon delivery of equipment.
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles in a efficient and safe manner.
Person Specification - Essential Criteria
- The ability to learn and adapt in a fast paced environment
- The flexibility to meet customer requirements which may include early starts and late finishes
- The ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly approach
- Previous experience in a mechanical/electrical background (however specialist training will be provided)
- Excellent punctuality
- Full clean driving license
- Good spoken and written English
- Experience in delivering high levels of customer service
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proven experience working independently in the workplace to achieve objectives.

Training
Full training will be provided to the successful applicant through a variety of both in house and manufacturer based training courses.
