Position Purpose:

The Service Team Manager is responsible to, and derive their authority from, the Service Centre Operations Manager. The Service Team Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with maintenance and legislative standards as specified by EASA and the Quality and Airworthiness Manager. This position is middle managerial, part chargeable time.

In the absence of the Service Centre Operations Manager, the Service Team Manager is responsible for the day to day production duties and responsibilities of the Service Centre Operations Manager. In the absence of the Service Team Manager, the Lead Inspector is responsible for the day to day production duties and responsibilities of the Service Team Manager.

The Service Team Manager is the primary point of contact for all technical aspects of a service centre visit, including the day to day overall technical pre-planning, technical project management and technical manpower resource control. If tasks are delegated, at the discretion of the Service Team Manager, the overall managerial responsibility for compliance remains with the Service Team Manager. The position of Service Team Manager can involve working at height, working in different postures and performing physical lifting, pulling and pushing activities when necessary.
