Mechanical/Hydraulic Metal Recycling Machinery

JMC Recycling Systems is the UK's largest manufacturer of metal recycling equipment, dating back to 1872. We are looking for Field Service Engineers to join our team.

Description of the role:

With over 30,000 machines in worldwide industry, we are expanding our service department. We are looking for a multi-skilled engineer with hydraulic, mechanical and general electrical experience.

You will drive a company van across the UK and travel abroad, repairing and commissioning metal recycling systems - shears, balers, granulators, cable strippers, casting machines and more. When not out on the road, you will be based at our site in Nottingham, refurbishing second hand machinery and maintaining our own equipment in our machinery demonstration yard.

Before you start travelling, you will spend 3-6 months (can be more or less depending on experience) at our site in Nottingham, to familiarise yourself with the machinery.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for candidates with experience working either with metal recycling machinery or with any similar machinery: conveyors, any hydraulic machinery, mining equipment etc. If you are unsure about the skills required for the role, feel free to apply and ask any questions you may have.

The successful applicants will have:

Experience with mechanical and hydraulic machines. General electrical ability - wiring motors and control panels etc. Welding Experience. Full UK Driving Licence. Ability to work alone and in a small team. Ability to communicate with customers at all levels. Experience with pneumatics is a bonus. Forklift experience is a bonus.
