As Service Design Specialist, you will be responsible for providing effective support of programmes and leadership of large projects, dealing with all relevant issues, usually without the guidance of the manager. You may provide leadership in the formulation of service solutions, models and operational strategy and evolution plans.
You\'ll also meets business objectives, solves business problems and furthers business success by applying industry, service design and commercial knowledge through the definition of low level service solutions.
What you\'ll be doing
1. Supporting sales channels in pre sales activities with direct customer engagement in the development of their service requirements, supporting both due diligence and contract negotiations
2. Designing a service solution that uses the supporting practices and management tools which the business needs for quality, reliability and flexibility
3. Liaising with internal, external and third party suppliers
4. Producing the service model/design to describe and demonstrate that it meets the customers\' requirements in language that the customer understands
5. Participating in and contributing to BT Academy activities where applicable e.g. knowledge sharing, best practice within BT and external industry

What we would like to see on your CV
1. ITIL 4 & ITIL (V3) Foundation accreditation with one or more ITIL intermediate lifecycle accreditations, starting with Service Design, are requirements for the role and should be achieved as early as practical
2. The successful candidate must be willing to undergo, or already hold, Government Security Clearance to SC level, which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
3. Ability to work independently and flexibly interacting and negotiating at all levels within BT, the customer and third parties
4. Able to use a variety of tools and process as necessary in order to produce, cost and present a quality service design
5. Commercial acumen and competency that enables identification of cost versus value and able to present such to stake holders whilst explaining difficult concepts to a variety of audiences ensuring that the meaning is understood
