Service and Installation Engineer

Location: Bradford and regional travel

Basic salary: \xc2\xa340-45k DOE + company van + fuel expensed + door to door pay + up to 5% bonus + excellent training programmes

Realistic Average Earning - \xc2\xa350k plus up to 5% bonus

Days based hours 8:45 - 17:00

Our client is a leading supplier of wrapping, feeding, labelling count solutions to major retailers across the UK including food, toiletries, medical, pharmaceutical, and much more. The Service Engineer has the chance to join a highly experienced service team in the specialist division, our client is dedicated to delivering proven products that meet the diverse needs of their customers. This opportunity offers an exciting prospect for any engineer seeking to specialize in a field where every day presents new challenges and opportunities.

The day to day role:
The Service Engineer role involves 50% workshop based in Bradford, 30% regional travel to different customer sites and 20% nationwide travel. You will ensure the safe and timely delivery of allocated work, reporting completion to company procedures and the satisfaction of the customer and client. Jobs are typically assigned 3-4 weeks in advance. The main responsibilities of the role include attending breakdowns, servicing, installing, and commissioning various company products.

Other responsibilities of the Service Engineer:

• Attend breakdowns and conduct service, installation, and commissioning of products.
• Ensure safe and timely delivery of work.
• Working with various machinery and equipment including; Labellers, wrapping, feeding, banding and sleeving machines to AC/DC drives, invertors, relays, pneumatics, conveyors and so on
• Electrical panel and product wiring.
• Reading engineering schematics and drawings.

A successful Service Engineer application:

• The Service engineer must hold a relevant engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 as a minimum in electrical engineering
• Must hold Full UK driving License
• Experience within some sort of food, FMCG or packaging background is desirable but not essential
• My client will review all applications from Engineers looking to move into a service role or someone who is already in a similar role
• Happy to travel and stay away as an when required
