Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Present menus and explain daily specials to customers
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure all items are prepared timely
- Serve food and drinks to guests
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction with their meals
- Clear tables and maintain a clean dining area
- Process payments and operate the cash register
Skills:
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Upselling skills to promote additional menu items or specials
- Hospitality mindset with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting preferred
- Familiarity with culinary terms and food preparation techniques
