Join the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and you will deliver for the UK internationally. That could mean helping us promote Britain and our values, building strategic partnerships, protecting our interests, or supporting Britons abroad. It is a diverse challenge that will put you at the centre of world events, alongside around 17,300 people in our global network of offices, bringing a completely unique perspective of personal and professional pride.
The role
Our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) capability is integral to our end-to-end consular services. And as a SEO Digital Delivery Manager, you will be involved with some of our most high-profile digital services for British people overseas.
Day to day, you will manage delivery of improvements and enhancements to our products and services. This includes everything from the travel advice and other FCDO content on GOV.UK, to our services to apply for Emergency Travel Documents, or overseas notarial services. There is internally-focused work too, for example our global case management system. And we have a number of legacy systems to decommission too.
At every step, the focus will be on users - ensuring the British people and our colleagues can access what they need directly, easily and at speed. So expect to work closely with both operational and policy teams across government, and own our relationships with external suppliers.
You will join a professional and friendly team of DDAT specialists. Along the way, you will receive detailed training that combines both DDAT Profession and FCDO subject matter learning. There may also be opportunities to travel overseas to gain a deeper insight on specific High Commissions\' and embassies\' needs.
About you
You will have a track record of delivering high quality digital/ technology products and services, at different stages of the product life cycle, and a continuous improvement mindset putting users at the centre.
Confident communication skills are also a must, to manage expectations, and ensure all stakeholders are bought in to changes.
In return, you will enjoy an impressive package that include the Civil Service pension, 25 days\' leave, our Cycle to Work scheme and access to the staff restaurant.
You must be a British Citizen at the time of application and, if invited to interview, you will need to bring your British Passport with you.
This role requires you to attain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
