Senior Utilities Project Engineer

\xc2\xa350,000 + \xc2\xa3360 per month car allowance + Agile Working + Flexible Holiday Policy

We are currently working with a Derbyshire business who due to continued and aggressive growth of the business, are currently recruiting for a Senior Utilities Project Engineer. They are a global business with multiple projects ongoing in the UK, Europe, Asia and The Americas. The business specialises in offering full turnkey project solutions to businesses working within the food, beverage, brewery, distillery and pharmaceutical sectors.

The business has experienced incredible growth growing from \xc2\xa325 million six years ago to now delivering in excess of \xc2\xa3100 million of projects as they continue to grow the portfolio and exciting turnkey projects they are delivering.

As part of this growth, they have also more than doubled their workforce over the same period and currently expanding their project engineering team. One of the key positions they are looking to hire for is a Senior Utilities Project Engineer with immediate effect. As projects become more largescale and complex, they now often require the procurement and implementation of utilities across the site; if this is something you have experience of, alongside the desire to liaise with both suppliers and clients, this could be the role for you.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Project Engineering Manager, the Senior Utilities Project Engineer will be a key member of a well-established team, there to provide expert support on the utilities equipment.

The Senior Utilities Project Engineer will be responsible for all the utilities equipment integrated as part of their largescale projects. This can compromise of a range of equipment across steam, cooling, air, industrial gas and effluent systems. They will cover this function across a range of projects being delivered where utilities systems are being integrated.

A full range of utilities equipment they could provide would include:

• Steam \xe2\x80\x93 Steam Boilers, Steam Generators, Economisers, Flash steam recovery
• Cooling \xe2\x80\x93 Evaporative Cooling towers, Adiabatic Coolers, Refrigeration plants, Package chillers
• Air \xe2\x80\x93 Compressors, Blowers
• Industrial Gases - N2/CO2 Storage and distribution, CO2 Recovery
• Effluent - Buffering / pH correction, Anaerobic digestion, Aerobic digestion
• Other \xe2\x80\x93 TVR Nozzles, MVR Blowers/compressors, Heat Pumps

The Senior Utilities Project Engineer will also:

• Produce datasheets required for the equipment
• Produce technical specifications for the utilities equipment required
• Create requests for quote for the packages of equipment.

• Sending these requests to suppliers
• Carry out technical and cost comparisons on the quotes received to select supplier.
• Procure the equipment for the project \xe2\x80\x93 order the equipment and track and log the expected delivery dates for the equipment.
• Reviewing mechanical design layouts to ensure they fit the project plan.
• Liaise with suppliers of equipment to ensure they are ready for commissioning at site.
• Carry out site visits when required to ensure commissioning and installation has been carried out successfully.
• Mentoring of Junior Utilities Project Engineer as the team grows.

The Candidate

For this Senior Utilities Project Engineer role we are looking for someone with:

• An engineering qualification
• Experience creating equipment specifications
• Proficient in supplier liaison and management
• A background in a project engineering related role
• Experience in the specification and procurement of utilities equipment
