Initially, this role will be remote, but will have an option to switch to Hybrid working once the new office is Open (Manchester city-centre). Applicants will need to be located within a 50 mile radius of Manchester.

We are part of the ICG Technology under the Enterprise Architecture Practice (EAP) business whos\' group mission is to provide, architecture consistency aligned to enterprise goals. The ICG EAP drives business platforms using best approved technology including emerging data architecture, automated controls, cyber security, developer capability and cloud. The ICG EAP work with the ICG technology teams to help them deliver products faster and better through management tools including performance analytics, adoption expertise, change management techniques and coaching.
Role:
You will be required to proactively identify opportunities through engagement in senior global forums to define areas where we will transform, automate and codify the software development processes to reduce technology risk and improve controls through automated means.
You will have to become familiar with the SDLC related (development, release, software maintenance and vulnerability management etc) enterprise policies, standards and sector procedure documents and ensure alignment against our mission - you will be required to author, review, amend, and feedback to enterprise standards documents accordingly.
Your work will result in technology requirements for our development team for automation, or as proposed strategy that you will delivery via management of our enterprise partners.
Large regulated firms are reluctant to large scale change but we will tenaciously and relentlessly seek to overturn these challenges to drive for better, faster, and safer development delivery for the development teams.
We may be occasionally involved in technology post mortems and internal (technology) audit challenges to understand, challenge rationale or determine business wide remediation (automated/process redefinition etc) to issues raised.
Experience:
Excellent analytical and communication skills, self motivated, great attention to detail and able to use initiative to handle concurrent programmes/projects.
Must have proven track record of delivery with ability to influence senior internal and external partners, producing non functional requirement documents. Experience of technology audit engagement, either leading or senior participant along with policy or formal contract writing would be highly beneficial.
Must have with very good understanding of SDLC processes who has been closely aligned with development team and their activities, including high-level knowledge of SCM, CI/CD, testing tools/environment and release/problem management.
Demonstrable evaluation experience to robustly defend position based on your resourced demonstrable facts and conclusions.
The role would suit experienced senior Technology Consultant, Business Analyst, Analytical Technical Programme Manager, Technology Risk and Control or Software Development professional who are looking for a different challenge.
