We are seeking a detail-oriented and Technical Business Analyst to join our IT team while overseeing the successful delivery of a software solution being developed by an external vendor. The vendor will be using its own methodology and resources, while the solution must integrate with our internal architecture and data infrastructure. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our IT department, business operations, and external vendor translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring the successful implementation of IT solutions.
This role requires coordination across multiple internal technology teams and projects, some of which follow Agile (Scrum) methodologies, while others operate in a more traditional, phased (Waterfall-like) manner.
Working closely with a business-side product management team driving scope and requirements, the Technical Business Analyst will act as the key technology interface for the vendor - ensuring alignment with internal technical standards, infrastructure processes, test environments, and production deployment paths. The successful candidate will need to be highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and hybrid delivery models.
You Will:
Coordinate and oversee the technical delivery
from the external vendor, ensuring alignment with internal architecture, data flows, and security standards.
Act as the vendor's primary point of contact
for internal technology processes and environments.
Develop and maintain
detailed functional specifications, process flows, and use cases
Facilitate integration efforts
across multiple internal tech teams and delivery streams.
Support the business product management team
by translating requirements into actionable technical steps for the vendor.
Ensure compliance
with internal testing, change, and release processes, guiding the vendor through them as needed.
Identify and address data requirements
that are not fulfilled by existing data sources and solutions within MUFG but are required by the vendor's solution. Seek out solutions and manage internal delivery dependencies to fulfil these requirements.
Work closely with the PMO individual
responsible for tracking and reporting on status, risks, and issues, ensuring effective project and delivery governance.
Focus on identifying and mitigating technical risks and issues
throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage stakeholder expectations
and communication, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive continuous improvement
in delivery practices and processes, leveraging lessons learned and best practices.
