Grangemead is a countywide respite and emergency service for adults with Learning Disabilities in Hailsham and was refurbished to a high standard to offer a hotel style service. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities. We have interactive sensory equipment and the latest in assistive technology to enhance the experience of guests staying with us.

The service provides a fun holiday experience for long and short respite stays where we promote life skills, independence, community presence and opportunities to meet new friends.

The emergency service provides accommodation to individuals who are experiencing a difficult time in their lives e.g. safeguarding, homelessness, illness, death or end of placement with carers.

The role of Senior is integral at Grangemead. You are there to support guests on a day-to-day basis on shift as well as manage a staff team and to construct shift plans and organise activities within teams alongside support workers to ensure all guests have an enjoyable fun stay at Grangemead. These can include themed weekends or activities.

As a Senior, you will complete handovers to other teams as well as providing feedback to management and implementing changes to improve the service.

Rotas are completed on a 6 week rolling rotas and are a combination of lates (14:00 -21:45) and Early\'s (7:15 - 15:00) these times slightly differ at weekends.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency\'s Points-based Immigration System.
