Your Role:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will lead and support a team while ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and personal growth of the young people in our care. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference, providing security, guidance, and stability to those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Children & Young People
Deliver personalised, high-quality care that addresses emotional, social, and physical needs.
Maintain a safe, structured environment that promotes development and independence.
Build strong, positive relationships with young people and their families through outreach services.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning with empathy and professionalism.
Leading Cornerstone Children's Homes
Collaborate with multi-agency teams to deliver a holistic care approach.
Continuously evaluate and improve care practices to meet changing needs.
Encourage active participation from young people in house meetings and decision-making.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, inspire, and support a team, ensuring a strong knowledge-driven practice.
Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and training to develop a high-performing team.
Conduct regular supervision sessions, appraisals, and team meetings.
Manage rotas and oversee staff performance, promoting a positive working environment.
Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR.
Oversee budgets and ensure compliance with fire safety, food hygiene, and health and safety standards.
Manage disciplinary and grievance matters fairly, adhering to organisational policies.
Community & Multi-Agency Collaboration
Build and maintain strong relationships with social workers, local authorities, and community services.
Represent the home at professional meetings and advocate for young people's needs.
Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring that every young person feels heard and respected.

Residential Childcare: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (preferred)
