About us Student and Registry Services is one of the larger Professional Services divisions at UCL, providing essential services to UCL\xe2\x80\x99s 50,000 students, 160,000 applicants and for supporting academic departments and administrative staff in delivering a high-quality student experience. The Student Funding Office is responsible for coordinating the provision of funding support and advice to current and prospective UCL students.
Through the various scholarship, bursary, and loan schemes on offer they process approximately 8000 applications each year and support awardees across more than 100 schemes. They are also responsible for maintaining the relationships with key funding partners and for the development of UCL\xe2\x80\x99s financial support for students.
About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join UCL\xe2\x80\x99s Student Funding team as a Senior Student Funding Officer.
The postholder will be responsible for administering a portfolio of funding schemes including US Direct Loans, UCL\xe2\x80\x99s Financial Assistance Fund and a range of other scholarship/bursary schemes as allocated by the Student Funding Manager. The role would be ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy, dynamic environment and has a breadth of Higher Education working experience and knowledge to offer.
The postholder will work closely with the Student Funding Manager to develop policy and to identify and implement process efficiencies using relevant data analysis. They will handle student and staff enquiries, participate in open day events and be proactive in building links with internal and external stakeholders. This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.
In addition to line managing one of the Student Funding Officers, you will be required to deputise for the Student Funding Manager when necessary.

About you Candidates must have experience of working in Higher Education in a busy student-facing administrative office environment, and will be expected to build rapport and be comfortable working with others across different cultures and backgrounds. Previous experience of working in a student funding team and/or with US Direct loans would be a distinct advantage.
To be successful in this role you will need to be proactive, able to work independently when necessary and have a practical approach to problem solving.
