Job Description

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Structural Designer - Contractor for 6 months based in Aberdeen, UK.

The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.

Scope of Services:

\xc2\xb7 Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector.

\xc2\xb7 Provide technical information to support estimates for project work scopes

\xc2\xb7 Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process

\xc2\xb7 Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets

\xc2\xb7 Produce structural design drawings / 3d models etc

\xc2\xb7 Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews / HAZIDS

\xc2\xb7 provide checking of structural drawings

\xc2\xb7 Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on technical project issues

\xc2\xb7 Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate

\xc2\xb7 Weight control reports

\xc2\xb7 Presentations sketches etc. to assist in scope communications

Skills/ experience

\xc2\xb7 Computer literate in Microsoft office applications and relevant discipline specific software

o AutoCAD 2D & 3D

o PDMS

o LFM

o Recap Pro

o Simulate)

\xc2\xb7 Ability to investigate and interpret data

\xc2\xb7 willing to travel offshore/site and capable of completing site surveys

\xc2\xb7 Brownfield Project Experience desirable.

\xc2\xb7 Experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry will be preferable but not essential

\xc2\xb7 Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate.
