Job Description

Senior Staff Nurse - ITU

Location: London, The Lister Hospital

Working Hours: Full Time 37.5hrs per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive + Shift Enhancement

Are you ready to take the next step in your critical care career within one of London's leading private hospitals?

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our ITU Unit at The Lister Hospital, where excellence in patient care and staff development is at the heart of everything we do.

Our ITU delivers both Level 2 (High Dependency) and Level 3 (Intensive Care) services, alongside a 24-hour Outreach service. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of specialities including Colorectal, Gynaecology, Thoracic, Vascular, Orthopaedics, Neuro & Spinal, and Acute Medicine - making every day challenging, rewarding, and rich in learning opportunities.

What makes this opportunity truly unique is our strong collaboration with London Bridge Hospital's Cardiothoracic ITU. As part of your development, you'll have the option to work across both sites - giving you the chance to expand your clinical expertise and work with more complex cardiothoracic cases in a specialist environment.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care while also providing clinical leadership and acting as a mentor and role model to junior staff. You will manage complex patient care as a bedside nurse, nurse in charge, and Outreach Nurse, and take the lead in running the unit in the absence of the Manager or Charge Nurses.

At HCA UK, we truly believe in investing in our people. When you join us, you'll follow a structured development pathway that includes access to stand-alone specialist modules, Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses, and Leadership and Management Apprenticeships. We'll support you to grow, thrive, and reach your full potential.

If you're passionate about delivering world-class critical care, eager to expand your skills in both general and cardiothoracic intensive care, and looking to make a genuine impact - we'd love to hear from you.
