Operating as the backbone to the gaming industry this awesome tech company are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join them for an initial 6-month period in Bristol with scope to go permanent. What experience you\'ll need

• Skilled in C++ development.
• Well-versed in Linux low-level APIs.
• Understanding of core software engineering principles.
• A degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science / Engineering.
• Experience developing on / for Windows.
• Concurrent / Distributed systems knowledge.
• Any Win32 API experience would be useful.
• Knowledge of x86/x64 assembly language would be beneficial.
• Games development knowledge is highly desirable.

What you\'ll be doing

This role joins an impressive development function who develop a build accelerator that can distribute processes (such as compilers) to run on other machines in clusters. This accelerator currently runs on Windows; the purpose of this role is to develop a Linux version by creating a Linux sandbox that can be used to run Linux processes. Your responsibility will be to evaluate the best approach to take support the implementation and build prototypes to verify the effectiveness of what the business is aiming to achieve.
