The starting salary for this role is \xc2\xa331,262 per annum, working 36 hours per week.

We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Social Care Assistant to join our fantastic Guildford Locality Team, based at Guildford Borough Council Offices in Guildford.
We focus on collaborative team working and close working relations with other professionals.
We have an emphasis on continued learning and development throughout the team and sharing of knowledge and skills.
We are a diverse and culturally dynamic team with advanced experience throughout all aspects of social care.
We have a focus on flexible working and empowering keyworkers to work hybrid with planned face to face training, team meetings and twice weekly working in the office.
About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for social care assistants to join our outstanding team. You will receive excellent support and supervision combined with comprehensive training/induction. You will also be involved in supporting safeguarding investigations and attending safeguarding meetings with the support of qualified practitioners. In addition, the role will include scheduling and completing Adult Social Care Assessments, Carer Assessments and Reviews whilst discussing appropriate social care services and non-costed services with service users, carers and families.
You will have the responsibility of recording data on the database and distributing appropriate documents to service users/carers. The team is motivated and empowered to support each other face to face, remotely on teams or during planned training sessions to share knowledge, skills and best practice. You will be working in a team of motivated, dedicated and friendly colleagues and have an added bonus of working closely alongside a wider multi-disciplinary team in a thriving community environment. The work involves travelling within South West Surrey and also to other parts of the county. We therefore ask that you are a car driver and have access to a car.
In your application, we would love to hear about your:
Basic understanding and knowledge of the structure, function and legislative framework of Adult social care services, including the Care Act highlighting personalised outcomes, prevention and wellbeing. Likewise basic knowledge of how the Mental Capacity Act assists to inform effective social care practice.
Your basic understanding of common health conditions and the implications these may have on individual\'s day to day lives of assistance when assessing, support planning and reviewing service users/carers needs.
Your experience of using organisational skills to manage large volumes of work in a fast paced and changing environment, maintaining attention to detail and using a person centred, professional approach to work whilst considering how you would gain the support of colleagues and management where required.
Evidence you are able to communicate and engage with individuals, families, carers, colleagues and other agencies both verbally and in writing in a clear, jargon free and professional manner. You will be confident and competent in working with people with a variety of physical and cognitive impairments. You will need to have competent basic IT skills and be able and willing to learn to use a variety of software systems.
