We have an exciting new opportunity for an

experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team!



Location:

Elmstead Market.

Salary:

30,000.00 per annum, depending on experience

Contract Type:

Full-time, Permanent

Please note the shift pattern is two days on, four days off which does include an over night stay in our newly renovated 6 bedroom home!

We are now looking to recruit a compassionate and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of the children in our care.

The Role:



As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring the safety, well-being, and emotional development of the children. You will provide hands-on support, guidance, and mentorship to a team of support workers, while ensuring that care plans are followed and children's individual needs are met.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and supervising a team of residential support workers, offering guidance, training, and support where necessary Providing direct care and support to children and young people, assisting with daily routines, and encouraging personal growth and development Building and maintaining positive relationships with children and colleagues Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of children at all times Developing and implementing individual care plans and risk assessments Acting as a role model, promoting a positive and respectful environment Working closely with other professionals, including social workers, healthcare providers, and educators Completing records and reports as required by legislation and regulatory bodies

What We're Looking For:



To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

Previous experience working in a children's residential care setting, ideally within a senior role A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to work towards) Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people A caring, empathetic, and patient nature, with the ability to build strong relationships with children
