Job Spec:
Corporate branding and comms, high profile portfolio, senior clients.
Within this highly regarded and consistently successful corporate reputation research team, you\'ll be working with very senior clients to provide insight which informs strategy around all public and political reputational issues. Your focus will be on helping your clients develop a clear understanding of their reputational currency - how strong it is and what drives, builds and sustains it. You\'ll be identifying and targeting key stakeholders (governments, NGOs, the media, academics...) and markets, determining the factors that drive favourability and investigating current and potential issues. The insight you generate will provide clear and practical advice in terms of identifying communication strategies, activities and messages which develop corporate reputation in the most effective way. Your work will feed directly into the stakeholder and communications strategies - you\'ll really see the impact of your insight.
Your clients will be mainly FTSE100 and Fortune 500 companies, and you will be working at very senior levels within these companies, often advising at board level. You will be spending around half up to three-quarters of your time focused on one account so, this role will suit someone who likes to get very close to their clients, understand their issues, be considered part of their team and see the impact of their work. This is a very long-standing, valuable and prestigious client to this agency - things are working well - but they are also open to new ways of working so you will be able to inject fresh thinking and bring in new ways of working.
Many clients have tracking programmes - there is a team who run these - but we do need someone who understands how trackers run and who is able to explain the workings to the client. And there is lots of ad hoc consulting. Client challenges are broad - your work would be very varied.
You will be leading your own team and also play a senior role in the overall team, determining the direction and strategy.
For this role, we need to see a track record of consulting and developing trust-based client relationships. You\'ll need to be genuinely interested in the corporate world - a background in corporate reputation - and/or around sustainability/the environment will be very helpful. You\'ll love working on briefs that don\'t have a straightforward solution. You\'ll enjoy managing lots of different kinds of projects and love international work. You\'ll need credibility and gravitas - able to work with C-Suite clients in some of the highest profile and exciting global businesses. And you\'ll need to be a great leader, motivated by developing junior members of staff.
The work is both quant-only and mixed methods; we are open to hearing from quant-focused people as long as you are keen to learn about qual (mainly interviewing senior stakeholders) - or mixed methods people.
You\'ll be offered all the benefits of a top-drawer employer: second-to-none training, wider development opportunities and a smart and ambitious team. The ethos of this agency is all about creating quality work for clients and this focus really pays off in terms of their commercial performance. They genuinely care about their staff and retention is very high - a recent hire at this level called it a \'family atmosphere\' where people can get things done and are happy at work.
