An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate to join the School of Psychology to conduct studies on the behavioural and neural basis of the sense of agency in social contexts. The project is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and you will be working with the lead researcher Professor Andrew Bayliss and other team members.
As a Senior Research Associate you will contribute ideas and/or enhancement of techniques or methodologies. You will analyse and interpret data, write up results and present information on research progress and outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to grant applications and may be involved in the supervision of researchers within the School.
You will need a postgraduate level research degree (or be within 3 months of completing) or hold an equivalent qualification or have relevant experience in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related research area. You will also have experience of independent research, have experience with publishing in respected journals and be able to work in a proactive manner in a high paced environment.
You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data and work effectively as part of a team. Advanced skills directly relating to this research area would be advantageous.
This full-time post is available from 1 January 2024 on a 3-year fixed-term basis.
