We\xe2\x80\x99re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join our Finance Professional Services Centre team. This role is located in Manchester.

In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Reporting \xe2\x80\x93 Own the production of high-quality regulatory returns, analytics and MI in a timely fashion, ensuring that the UK banking entities meet all reporting deadlines and quality expectations. Primary focus of role will be the quarterly FINREP return and other reporting including (but not limited to) Asset Encumbrance and FSA017.
• Review \xe2\x80\x93 Review of work prepared by other team members and engaging with market center to continually improve the quality and timeliness of deliverables. .
• Oversight & Controls \xe2\x80\x93 Maintain a strong operational control environment with well-evidenced reviews, checklists and procedures.
• Stakeholder management \xe2\x80\x93 Develop a close relationship with market centre financial controller owners in the UK and other business areas particularly Risk, Treasury, Compliance, Legal, Business Finance and business management in the production of regulatory returns and advisory work. In conjunction with the Reporting Production Manager liase with the Market Centre and manage escalations in accordance with the Regulatory Reporting Operating Model.
• Knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments, as well as maintain their knowledge of External Reporting requirements and procedures. Help junior colleagues build their abilities through knowledge share / training.
• Team \xe2\x80\x93 Become a member of the UK regulatory team which is part of the EMEA regulatory reporting team based in Manchester alongside UK controllers function and EMEA change team. Deputise for the UK regulatory production manager in meetings and demonstrate SME knowledge in various as required.

To be successful in this role, we\xe2\x80\x99re seeking the following:

• Fully Qualified Accountant \xe2\x80\x93 ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA Full Accreditation or with an equivalent level of experience.
• Experience of working with large, complex datasets to produce high quality, well controlled outputs is essential.
• Process improvement, change management and controls experience in a complex global environment.
• Significant experience of accounting systems and processes (e.g. advanced user of excel, experience of Axiom system an advantage).
• Experience with offshore teams preferred
