Join our dynamic team at the renowned Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow, where we\'re dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services.We\'re currently seeking a Senior Radiographer to join our Imaging department on a full-time basis, covering 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern, including weekends.As the ideal candidate, you\'ll hold a degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography and be registered with the Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC). Your background in general radiography, coupled with your familiarity with IT systems such as RIS/PACS, will be invaluable in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our Imaging Department.Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Possession of a degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Registration with the Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC).
  • Background or training in general radiography.
  • Familiarity with IT systems such as RIS/PACS.
  • Understanding of the healthcare service sector and its associated systems and processes.
  • Awareness of the College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct/Accountability.
  • Knowledge of Radiation Regulations.
  • Proficiency in Mathematics and English, evidenced by GCSE grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Actively engage in the efficient and safe functioning of the Imaging Department, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service to patients and visitors.
  • Perform both general and specialized radiographic procedures within the scope of expertise, as determined in consultation with the Clinical Services Manager - Imaging / Clinical Lead, adhering to stringent technical and quality standards.
  • Conduct imaging examinations in accordance with departmental operational protocols and policies, employing techniques that minimize radiation exposure to both patients and staff while achieving optimal diagnostic image quality.
  • Demonstrate adherence to radiation protection and safety protocols, and adhere to local rules and established systems of work.
