About CAVU

For airports, for partners, for people. We are CAVU.

At CAVU, our purpose is to find new and better ways to make airport travel seamless and enjoyable for everyone. From the smallest ideas to the biggest changes -- every day is about creating better travel experiences.

Whether it's our revenue-driving single-platform technology, Propel, or our premium hospitality experiences in 1903 and Escape Lounges, everything we do is about improving journeys for passengers and supporting growth for our partners.

We understand that to do your best work, you need freedom, support, and space to think -- so whether you're at home, in the office, in a lounge, or on the road, we've built an environment where you can thrive.

If you're looking for a place to make a real impact, bring new ideas to life, and push boundaries -- CAVU is for you.

Together, we can reach new heights. Together, we are CAVU.

What's the role?

We're building something big -- a global platform shaped by the insights of experienced airport service providers and the energy of a scaling tech organisation. And we're looking for someone who can help lead that journey.

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in one of our agile delivery teams -- taking ownership of quality from strategy to execution, embedding testing throughout the stack, and coaching colleagues along the way. You'll bring a strong quality mindset, hands-on experience, and a collaborative approach to help deliver high-performing, reliable software.

This isn't just a testing role -- it's about being a quality champion, a coach, and a team collaborator who supports continuous improvement and shared ownership of outcomes.

What will you be doing?

You'll be:

Leading and mentoring other testers, offering thoughtful feedback and supporting professional development

Shaping quality strategies across epics, features, and stories -- blending exploratory testing and automation as needed

Collaborating with developers, product owners, and delivery managers to create shared understanding and drive quality from the start

Coaching others in best practices, helping shift testing earlier in the process, and supporting a team-owned approach to quality

Designing and executing both manual and automated tests using tools like Cypress, Postman, and Ghost Inspector

Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, using data and feedback loops to improve how we build and release

Playing an active role in the Quality Engineering (QE) community and supporting department-wide initiatives to raise standards

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Has hands-on experience testing modern software within agile environments

Understands full-stack testing -- from user interfaces and APIs to pipelines and cloud infrastructure

Is comfortable with automation tools like Cypress, Ghost Inspector or Selenium

Enjoys mentoring others and supporting growth through coaching and feedback

Thrives in team environments, using pairing, retrospectives, and collaboration to deliver value

Is proactive, curious, and passionate about learning

Bonus if you have:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Familiarity with AWS services

JavaScript or TypeScript knowledge

An interest in shaping testing strategies and contributing to the wider quality community

The Perks

25 days holiday (increasing with service) + option to buy up to 10 more

4 flexible bank holidays

10% company pension

Annual bonus scheme

On-site gym at Manchester Airport

MediCash health plan

Up to 50% off Escape Lounges & Airport Parking

Rail and retail discounts

2 paid volunteering days

Learning grants, mentoring and personal development support

Enhanced parental leave (T&Cs apply)

A full calendar of wellbeing, learning, and inclusion activities

Inclusion at CAVU

Inclusion, diversity, and equity are at the heart of what we do. CAVU is proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.

Research shows that some individuals may be less likely to apply if they don't meet every requirement listed -- but if you're interested and think you could be a great fit, we'd still love to hear from you.

We're also committed to providing reasonable adjustments throughout the interview process -- just let us know what you need.

Ready to reach new heights? Apply now.
