The Location
Chorus Intelligence's head office is in Woodbridge, Suffolk, with a hub in Cambridge. This role is office based in Woodbridge 4 days a week and 1 day working from home (normally a Friday). You will benefit from free parking at this site.
Responsibilities
Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Developer. The role will be working with the development team and focusing on building core features in the Chorus Intelligence Suite. A key part of the role is championing a best-in-class development methodology, whilst leading development teams to build and evolve a globally recognised data intelligence platform. The Engineer will work closely with all aspects of the engineering division to build, manage and automate the Chorus platform. The ideal candidate will be methodical and be able to work both independently and as part of the team. We are looking ideally for individuals with experience working in similar industries.
Experience
7 plus years' experience in a mid-to-large, complex and successful organisation
A specialist with Python
Experience with standard tools and services in front-end and software development, such as Git, GitHub.
Experience with integrating and maintaining external software libraries and APIs using a command-line interface and package managers
Familiar with AWS
An understanding of architecture, including microservices
Experience of working on your core platform in Python
Building and deploying your code
Build restful API's
Proven experience of mentoring and assisting existing team members
Taking part in the discovery of new features
Requirements
You will be a keen technologist, always keeping up to date with new and emerging technologies and able to pick up new languages and tools quickly
You will be a collaborative and contributing team member with excellent communication skills, happy to help mentor others and take the lead on projects
Bachelor's degree or several years of experience in ecommerce, computer science, or other related fields
Committed to good engineering practices (CI/CD, code reviews)
