As a Python Engineer, your role involves crafting top-tier microservices and data pipelines for our renewables trading platform. We are presently experiencing robust growth and are dedicated to constructing an exceptional product that facilitates our expansion into numerous global power markets, all while trading a multitude of smaller electricity assets.

This role is for passionate Senior Python Engineers who are leaders and can manage projects and maintain client relationships, we want you to push your team and help hone their skills to make us all better at what we do. Key Roles:

• Create, build, and uphold microservices, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs, and system components for our Python-cantered data integration, processing, and analytics platform.
• Engage in collaborative efforts within a cross-functional team, including engineers, business analysts, traders, and data scientists.
• Stay current with emerging technology trends and make ongoing enhancements to our platform.
• Enhance and uphold code quality via the use of pull requests and code reviews.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.

As a Senior Python Engineer, You Must:

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of pertinent Python expertise.
• Demonstrate a robust command of object-oriented, functional, and asynchronous programming, along with a firm grasp of design patterns.
• Exhibit substantial proficiency in SQL and a deep understanding of database fundamentals.
• Ensure the implementation of best ETL practices for processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of extensive datasets.
• Display a fervor for producing clean code and employing a test-driven approach.
• Embrace the challenges of working within a hybrid-cloud and container-driven architecture, encompassing both on-premise and AWS environments.
• Hold a foundation in Computer Science, ideally bolstered by academic credentials in this field.
• Possess domain knowledge in either the energy or financial sector, which is highly advantageous.
