Oliver James are partnered with a leading Pensions and Investments Consultancy in their search for a Senior Pensions Governance consultant to join their public sector consulting team. This role can be based from any UK office or even remotely (with client meetings when required)
Oliver James are partnered with a leading Pensions and Investments Consultancy in their search for a Senior Pensions Governance consultant to join their public sector consulting team. This role can be based from any UK office or even remotely (with client meetings when required)
Within this team, every day is different. The governance of public sector pensions schemes is evolving rapidly and so day to day you will be advising LGPS (amongst other clients) on robust decision making, performance measurement, business planning and risk management. You will also provide support to develop and review relevant strategies and policies, help with evolving communications strategies and assist with the transition to the Pension Regulator\'s new General Code.
Role requirements:
- Relevant experience in a pensions governance, actuarial, or scheme secretarial role
- Strong understanding of governance and ideally what it takes to make good decisions, risk management, performance monitoring/compliance and business planning
- Individuals with experience of working with LGPS or public sector clients would be preferred
