Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Prosthetics Technician to lead our private work sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, fabricating, and repairing prosthetic devices, ensuring optimal functionality and aesthetics for our clients. This role requires a meticulous professional who can uphold our high standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
Successful applicants must have the following skills and experience:
Ideally qualified and registered with the GDC
Multiple years of experience is desirable
Be motivated and have great attention to detail
Be able to maintain a high quality of all lab work at all times
Be able to prioritise work to ensure that deadlines are met
Be able to work independently and be a strong team player
Applicants must have excellent communication skills and have a good command of English language (written and spoken)
Duties of the Prosthetic Dental Technician are not limited to:
Applicants must be competent in all aspects of removable prosthetic appliances (crown and bridge experience highly advantageous)
Be able to complete a full range of full and partial dentures from start to finish
All aspects of removable prosthetic appliances including plaster work
Cast and trim models from incoming impressions
Special trays and bite blocks
Articulation of models to bite registration
Flasking and processing of dentures
Wax setup of partial and full dentures for try-ins
Polishing of complete dentures and denture appliances to a high standard
Good knowledge of bite plates, mouth guards, night guards and retainers would be an advantage but not essential. In-house training will be available.
