The Opportunity:

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with strong organisational, project management and administration skills to design and implement plans and workflows to facilitate the smooth and effective running of the Academic Freedom and Freedom of Expression Working Group and the successful delivery of its activities.

The role presents an opportunity for someone to apply and further develop their skills within the context of a high-profile area of work at the heart of the University.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week). We are open to considering flexible working patterns, and (on a non-contractual basis) requests for hybrid working that combine a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Given the time-limited nature of the Working Group, this post is available on a fixed-term basis for 18 months in the first instance. Secondments will be considered.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Experience of managing multiple projects and tasks of differing scale and complexity at the same time.
  • Excellent organisational skills with experience of managing own workload, prioritising tasks as appropriate and effectively dealing with competing priorities.
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective, trusting working relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including experience of working effectively with colleagues at all levels of seniority.
