A Global FMCG / Chemical Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join the team. This business is investing heavily and this role will require proven experience in end to end Project Management of multiple projects up to \xc2\xa35M in value. This role will require end to end Project Management from cradle to grave within a heavy industrial processing background (Chemicals, Biofuels, Food/Feed Ingredients, Pharmaceutical, Plastics Manufacturing environment).
Experience working in a hazardous area environment and DESAR legislation is preferable. The Mechanical Project Engineer, will require expertise in Piping and equipment and will apply technical knowledge to design and develop the sites ongoing Capital Projects.
Project Engineer (Mechanical) responsibilities include:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work closely with a Project Manager.
Apply Mechanical Engineering knowledge of principles, terms and practices of mechanical, piping and equipment engineering to support the design, installation and commissioning process
Analysing and approving, piping and mechanical engineering drawings/plans for projects
Support the site Project Manager and Project Team with mechanical establishment and closeout diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment
Ensuring all deadlines and statutory requirements are met completing mechanical aspects of projects and writing up reports
Attend and participate in design, consultant and project team meetings
Coordinating with mechanical sub-contractors for installation and construction of projects and modifications
Take lead on mechanical discipline for Management of Change process
Communicate technical information and influence internally at all site levels and with external contractors, suppliers and regulators on mechanical engineering matters
Participate in hazard studies and process risk reviews and incident investigations for projects
Create, develop, execute and maintain site standards, task instructions, and guidance documents for projects
You will ideally be Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering discipline with experience managing with small to medium CAPEX projects focused on Mechanical assets.
This role will be suitable for someone with experience in a heavy industrial processing background (e.g. Chemicals, Biofuels, Food/Feed Ingredients. Experience working in a hazardous area environment and DESAR legislation is preferable.
