Reuters is seeking an experienced Senior Project & Change Manager to lead a comprehensive initiative aimed at revolutionizing ways of working within our editorial teams globally. This strategic role combines project management expertise with change management capabilities to drive modernisation across the newsroom.

About the Role




As our

Senior Project & Change Manager,

you will:

Lead the project

+ Lead and coordinate multiple interconnected workstreams within our editorial transformation programme (looking at organisational structures, skills and locations, new and existing workflows, AI driven tool adoption, and approaches to 24/7 coverage)
+ Develop comprehensive plans with clear milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
+ Establish effective governance structures and reporting mechanisms to track progress
+ Manage dependencies between workstreams and ensure alignment with overall transformation objectives
+ Monitor project budgets, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
+ Facilitate decision-making processes and problem-solving across workstreams
Lead the change

+ Design and implement a holistic change management strategy across all transformation workstreams
+ Assess organizational readiness and develop training and support programs to enable smooth transitions including approaches to address resistance where necessary
+ Create compelling change narratives that resonate with different stakeholder groups
+ Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed
+ Measure adoption rates and effectiveness of new ways of working
+ Coach leaders to become effective change champions

About you:



To be our Senior Project & Change Manager you will be

A strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Resilient and adaptable in fast paced, changing environments Collaborative leadership style with ability to build trust and consensus Results-oriented with meticulous attention to detail Cultural sensitive with a global mindset Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity

You are likely to also have:

10+ years of experience in project and change management, with at least 5 years leading complex transformation initiatives Proven track record in managing multiple workstreams simultaneously Strong change management expertise with demonstrated success in driving adoption Experience in organizational design and workforce planning Understanding of editorial operations, preferably in a news organization Experience working in global, matrix organizations Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to influence at all levels International experience with understanding of regional operational differences Experience in skills assessment and training program development Background in workflow optimization and process improvement Understanding of location strategy and global workforce planning Knowledge of AI implementation in content production environments Project management certification ( e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) and change management certification (e.g. CCMP)
