Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Production Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the production processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in manufacturing operations. You will leverage your expertise in engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance production capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement production processes that optimise efficiency and quality. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in production and develop effective solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and fabricate tooling and equipment. Utilise AutoCAD and CAD software to create detailed schematics for production layouts. Assemble prototypes and oversee the fabrication of components as required. Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with industry standards, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Provide technical support for logic controllers and other automated systems within the production line. Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices.

Experience

Proven experience as a Production Engineer or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD software, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Demonstrated experience with tooling design, fabrication, and assembly processes. Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement techniques. Knowledge of GD&T principles is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to engineering challenges. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
