About you

You\'ll be responsible for providing quality assurance of others work by surveillance and checking and therefore chartered status is preferred, although demonstration of progress and equivalent experience will be considered.

• Technical chemical/process engineering experience
• Demonstrable experience in process engineering design
• A drive to make a difference through carbon emissions reduction technology
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects
• Able to actively seek input from other engineers, specialists, facility and project team members to improve understanding and deliver fit for purpose solutions.
• Client-facing experience as well as a commercial awareness of FEED projects #LI-AB2

About the role

Our Energy Unit are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join their team. The role is technically focused, within an engineering team primarily undertaking conceptual and front end engineering design studies for green hydrogen production, carbon capture and utilisation and greenhouse gas removal projects in the power, industry or oil & gas sectors. Mott MacDonald prides itself on being technology agnostic and so we work on multiple hydrogen generation, carbon capture and utilisation and greenhouse gas removal technologies worldwide, therefore, a broad knowledge of the relevant processes and markets would be beneficial.

Typical activities/deliverables will include:

• Engineering Management
• Process Design Lead
• Process simulation and Heat and Material balances
• Review and generation of design documents including

• BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs
• Equipment, Instrument, Valve Lists
• Equipment, Instrument, Relief valve Datasheets
• Functional Specifications
• Basis of Design
• Control & Operating Philosophies
• Feasibility Reports
• Design Philosophies & Reports
• Attendance at Safety Studies including

• HAZID/HAZOP
• SIL/LOPA
• Development of conceptual schemes and studies
• Capital and operational expenditure cost modelling
• Vendor enquiries for budget pricing
• Proposal and Business Development support
