Senior Planning Lawyer

Salary: \xc2\xa339,866 - \xc2\xa341,818

Location: East Midlands

Working: Remote/Flexible

Sellick Partnership is proud to be working with an excellent East Midlands Local Authority who are looking to appoint a Senior Lawyer on a flexible/remote working basis with a salary of up to \xc2\xa341,818.

Key duties of the Senior Lawyer:

• Planning would include; sections 106s, drafting planning enforcement notices, planning advice, certificate of lawfulness, planning committees once a month.

• To specialise in contracts, duties would include; reviewing drafting and amending a range of commercial contracts, ICT contracts, goods and services, framework agreements, consultancy agreements, funding agreements and public procurement matters.

• Property would include; Commercial and Residential but would need to have commercial experience with landlord and tenant, leases and licenses, acquisitions and disposals etc.

Requirements for the Senior Lawyer role include:

• The ideal candidate will have previous experience within Planning and/or Contracts and/or Property as well as having well-developed communication skills both written and verbal.

• The ability to communicate effectively with officers internally, and externally with courts, barristers, professional bodies, and members of the public is essential

• Local government experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from people from all parts of the legal sector.

• The successful candidate will need to be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/FILEX with a current Practising Certificate.
