MAC is a full-service global Contract Research Organisation (CRO). We also own a network of research sites. Our mission is to serve with honesty and integrity to make an outstanding contribution to human health.
We have a fantastic opening for a Senior Oncology Clinical Research Nurse to join a new and developing oncology department at our Manchester site. We are flexible on hours of work, and would consider someone on a part-time, full-time or locum basis, looking for opportunities to upskill and gain experience within a research setting.
The focus of the role will be to play an integral part in the planning and development of a new infrastructure for systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) services across our network of clinical research sites throughout the UK. A suitable candidate will act as both a leader and a clinical educator for members of our clinical teams whilst providing specialist support and training, prioritising patient safety, carrying out clinical trial procedures and participating in the effective running of research studies whilst ensuring adherence to ICH and GCP.
During the departmental set up, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be acting as the company\xe2\x80\x99s subject matter expert (SME) for oncology nursing, creating essential clinical guidelines, standard operating procedures and specialist training materials. You will be the main point of contact for core infrastructure requirements including facilities, equipment, personnel, and clinical capacity.
Day to day activities within the running of clinical trials will involve undertaking nursing procedures according to NMC guidelines and having, both, responsibility and accountability for the planning, organising, and prioritisation of your own workload and that of clinical operations personnel involved.
