You will undertake a key role in the continued developments and focus on the ongoing improvement of practice and service standards. This post is pivotal in the implementation of current national/local policy changes and developments in mental health legislation, and provides an opportunity to influence the management of a range of work particularly involving high profile cases and services. Many opportunities and challenges will arise as a result of the changing context of health and social work services and therefore if you feel that you have the experience, skills and commitment that meet or exceed the expectations of this key post then please reflect this in your application.

It is essential that you are a qualified Mental Health Officer and hold either a BSc/Diploma in Occupational Therapy or are a qualified Social Worker. You will also be required to register with either the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and have substantial post qualifying experience.

A relevant post graduate or management qualification is desirable.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
