Our client based in South East London have two fantastic opportunities available. They are looking for a Therapy Services Deputy Manager and a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team.
Senior Occupational Therapist and Therapy Services Deputy Manager
Location: Residential Units across SE London + Outreach
Salary Scale: \xc2\xa334,164 to \xc2\xa344,342 FTE dependant on experience. (NHS Band 6-7 equivalent)
Hours: 40 hours per week (negotiable) some weekend working may be required

They operate 24/7, 365 days a year delivering care and predominantly slow stream rehabilitation for a younger adult service-user client base - mainly with Acquired Brain Injury, co-morbid diagnoses including mental health or physical issues. The post holder\'s team works alongside service users, Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist, members of the Therapy and Social work Teams including Rehab Coaches (NRC), Psychologists and other staff to deliver a 7-day a week service.
Job Role:
- Support Service Leads in managing and coordinating work of the Transdisciplinary Therapy Team
- Ensure all the activities undertaken within the Therapy Services are subject to robust governance arrangements, follow best practice, meet agreed activity levels, and are performed within agreed quality and service levels.
- Client safety, quality of care, clinical outcomes and Client experience are expected to be at the centre of all aspects of operational management of the directorate.
- Responsible for development, motivation, performance, and clinical supervision of all subordinate Therapy Services staff, ensuring compliance with relevant professional, regulatory and company guidelines and standards as required.
- Ensure a unified representation of diverse professions with a variety of professional identities, cultures, and practice traditions.
- Supervise and collaborate with the team to deliver key KPIs regarding treatment and goal achievement for our client
- Maximise functional ability, increase independence and quality of life
- Lead OT contribution to initial assessment and occupational assessments with service users
- Plan and maintain individual and group therapeutic interventions that enhance the wellbeing and/or rehabilitation of the clients which meet agreed goals. This may include developing, handing over and reviewing support plans and guidelines.
- Provide training/instruction to clients and co-workers to enable the clients to achieve maximum functional independence
- Advise on equipment and environmental modifications or adaptations to assist daily living
- Maintain accurate and concise case records and produce reports as necessary to support clients\' progress against pre-determined outcomes and make recommendations on modified service provision or referral to other agencies
- Lead OT engagement with the external agencies and Local Authority Departments as appropriate to the job
- Contribute to the development of the Service as appropriate
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of medical conditions and treatment, disability issues, legislation and departmental policies and practices and to liaise with colleagues and Service Managers regarding modifications in practice which may be required as a result the aforementioned
- Promote awareness of the Service to other professionals and agencies
- Undertake all the above in accordance with Regulatory, Company and Professional Standards, Policies & Procedures
- Be responsible for ensuring that continued Professional Development of OT member requirements are met
- Adhere to the HCPC Code of Conduct and College of Occupational Therapists Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
- Participate in training and other development activities as required
- Ensure that client data information is lawfully gathered, accurate and up-to-date and only divulged in accordance with Data Protection legislation and the common law duty of confidentiality. Failure to apply these duties can lead to the individual or the Department facing court proceedings
- Undertake any other duties as directed from time to time to meet the needs of the service
- Offer a point of reference to colleagues.
- Responsible for the management of the subordinate therapeutic team. Working closely in line with the GSM and Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist
- Line manage subordinate members of the therapy team
Qualifications/training:
- Occupational Therapy Degree / Diploma Current
- Current HCPC registration
- Professional member of College of Occupational Therapy
- Membership of specialist section for neurological practice
- Evidence of up-to-date CPD portfolio
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant subject such as Neuro, Mental Health, Leadership or Change Management
- Managing budgets and delivery of objectives
