We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic committed and professional practitioner to jointly lead our First Steps room in delivering the best quality of care and education in our highly thought of setting.
As a Senior Practitioner you will be part of the management team working directly with the Nursery Manager.You will be responsible for setting targets for your team and monitoring their performance and providing coaching to help develop their skills and practise.Working alongside the deputy and other seniors you will be looking at improvements within the setting to bring improved outcomes for the children in your room.As a senior practitioner you will be a role model to your team in delivering high levels of care and education.
Key personal attributes and skills that are essential for the role are being qualified to a minimum of level three in Early Years Education and Childcare or equivalent. Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Experience of working with children 0-4 years of age in a childcare setting. Excellent knowledge of Safeguarding Children requirements. A passion to develop your skills and a willingness to attend training courses.Being a good communicator and a team player and confident in liaising with families.
An enhanced DBS on the update service must be held along with a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Safeguarding Certificate. (Training can be provided if these certificates have expired).
