We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll join a passionate and talented team in an innovative cybersecurity company. This position will be part of a growing team responsible for all network related aspects of the Corporate IT infrastructure in support of the rapid growth of Mimecast.

The Senior Network Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring flawless internal IT service delivery for Mimecast. They must excel under pressure and possess the ability to deliver timely solutions. Their responsibilities include assisting in the planning and maintenance of the IT network across various global offices, adhering to Mimecast\'s global specifications and local business requirements. They are also responsible for providing efficient and effective support to local and global employees through defined case management procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain all aspects of the network, including structured cabling, LAN/WAN, data connectivity, and wireless infrastructures, ensuring adherence to performance standards and agreed service levels.
• Serve as a Network Subject Matter Expert, advising the Network Operations Manager and VP of Infrastructure & Services on technical standards, architectures, vendor procurement responses, specifications, and service delivery.
• Ensure that network services align with current and future business needs.
• Keep the network environment fully documented and up to date.
• Provide support as required by the business and ensure network service availability and continuity.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• Some travel may be required.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Self-motivated individual with the ability to approach technical problems creatively.
• Strong knowledge of internet working designs, including IP subnetting and complex routing techniques on LAN/WAN networks and security.
• Fundamental understanding of routing and switching in large-scale, redundant networks.
• Preferred industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCP, etc.
• Successful implementation experience with enterprise networks, including setup, configuration, upgrading, management, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Cisco routers/switches, VPN connections, Palo Alto firewalls, and Juniper routers/switches.
• Familiarity with subnetting, DNS, encryption technologies and standards, VPNs, VLANs, VoIP, and other network routing methods.
• Knowledge of wireless technologies and protocols.
• Understanding of project life cycle management.
• Experience in network device installation, testing, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of secure network architectures.
• Expertise in high-availability network design and technology.
• Hands-on experience in supporting reliable and scalable network architectures, including fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery.
• Expert-level knowledge of transport protocols, routing protocols, and security/authentication and encryption protocols across all layers of the OSI model, with a focus on TCP/IP.
• Proficient in networking features and protocols such as spanning tree, ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, Etherchannel, 802.1Q trunking, MLS, HSRP, GLBP, VSS/VSL, QoS, TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, Multicast, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, IPsec, RADIUS/TACACS+, SNMP, current WAN/MAN telecommunications technologies, and 802.1x.

Desirable Skills:

• University Degree or equivalent
• 5+ years experience as a Network Engineer
