This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in shaping the company's future producing accurate and competitive electrical tenders across a diverse range of construction projects and refurbishments.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of tenders for commercial, healthcare, education and industrial projects.
Perform detailed take-offs and produce estimate structure in line with scope.
Interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules to develop accurate cost estimates.
Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
Review quotes received for specification compliance and select for bid inclusion.
Apply labour norms to equipment and general materials to establish net costs.
Work with design, commercial, and project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Assess project opportunities, risks and provide value engineering options.
Ensure all estimates comply with company procedures and client expectations.
Liaison with Client's and Main Contractor's as required pre and post tender.
Contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities.
Support bid strategies and tender presentations.
Requirements
5+ years' experience in electrical estimating within the building services sector.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, predominantly Excel Spreadsheets.
Knowledge and experience of estimating software for on-screen Take-off's.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines.
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
