DESCRIPTION

The Senior Manager Security & Loss Prevention (S&LP), Risk & Resilience (R&R) for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), leads the team that enables a comprehensive threat and risk management process and the development of commensurate mitigation measures and resiliency capabilities to cope with various levels of threats, incidents and crisis situations that jeopardize Amazon\'s personnel, assets, operations and interests.

1. Create detailed resilience programs and comprehensive assessment reports to identify vulnerabilities and risks, and create techniques and processes by translating Amazon Security Policies into real world applications to defeat known and emerging/projected risks
2. Support the business with analytical deep dives to identify root causes of Loss, Risks, Security Breaches and Major Incidents
3. Train, advise, and partner with other functions in identifying, managing and mitigating risks through robust standards and processes
4. Assess known and new vulnerabilities and threats within Amazon EMEA business operations
5. Work with stakeholders and internal customers to establish, provide, and agree on clear goals, objectives, and performance delivery outcomes as well as timelines

A day in the life
The Senior Manager works closely and on daily basis with most senior EMEA leaders of Operations, Employee Relations, Public Relations, Public Policy, Finance, Legal, and more. The EMEA R&R operates in highly diversified and volatile environment which includes numerous regulatory and law enforcement environments, cultures, languages, criminality levels and national, political, social and security complexities. The team\'s operational footprint covers Europe, Asia and Africa, which includes 21 different countries, as well as expansion countries within EMEA.
The Senior Manager leads the cooperation with various global functions to develop region/country specific trainings relevant to managing people risk, inventory risk and operational risk.

About the team
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, we secure the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promote security in business decision-making conversations. We do this by preventing Security and Loss Prevention-related risks and vulnerabilities as early as possible, intervening in unfolding incidents in order to minimize any negative impact as well as thoroughly investigating security-related incidents in order to identify and remove root causes, preventing reoccurrence.
The R&R team provides Threat Evaluations, Risk Assessments, Data Services Management and Risk Management as a service to operational Security & Loss Prevention Teams. As well as creating and maintaining a Resilience framework to ensure continuation of our business. The R&R team provides strategic, tactical and operational analysis of the business needs and priorities by working closely with EMEA business leaders, support functions and with other security functions in a global framework.
The team collects and consolidates information to evaluate existing and evolving threats, assessing the probability of related events in order to minimize potential impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. An advanced degree
2. Project management and delivery experience
3. Knowledge and qualification in industry risk assessment and business resilience processes
4. Demonstrated ability to work with multiple, competing deadlines, with excellent attention to detail
5. Ability to communicate with all levels of business leadership and staff

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Advanced degree in related field (International Relations, Risk management, Political Science, Business Intelligence, Business Continuity or Resilience etc.)
2. Experience with continuous improvement cycles and analytical methodology
3. Familiarity with risk, business continuity and data management platforms (BSI, Audit board etc)
4. Risk management industry certification
5. Second European language is a plus
