About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Fraud Investigation Manager to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.



As the Senior Fraud Investigation Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing all aspects of fraud detection, prevention, and investigation. This is a senior leadership position where you will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activities that may impact the business. You will work with cross-functional teams, law enforcement, and external agencies to ensure the organisation remains secure.

Responsibilities

Provision of subject matter expertise on fraud and financial crime related threats, risks, and issues both to internal stakeholders within the business and as required Provide oversight to ensure that the client's fraud and financial crime processes and controls are satisfactory and operating in line with risk appetite Help perform the current state assessment to understand the fraud, Legislation, Regulations and Guidance, Obligation Register, Policies, Procedures, Technology controls, Lineage, Data Quality, and metrics Develop the client's recommendations and implementation plan and support them across the end-to-end journey Develop the future Fraud Operating Model (Policy, Procedures, Controls, MI/Reporting, Monitoring, and Testing)

Requirements

Subject matter expertise across the discipline of fraud and financial crime risks Appropriate knowledge of products, in particular investment banking Excellent knowledge of risk operations and compliance processes and ensuring the management of these within a regulated financial services environment Review policies and procedures to ensure alignment between 1LoD and 2LoD Competent managing stakeholders at a variety of levels recognising potential disparities in level of understanding of financial crime risk management Ability to work in a culturally complex organisation to influence senior stakeholders on matters of policy and risk appetite Precision and attention to detail, particularly whilst following and adhering to strict governance processes Ability to lead effectively, independently, and within a collaborative team-orientated environment, using sound judgement in decision making Decisive and solution orientated
