Position Overview

Position Title: Senior Manager Brand Activation EMEA (mat cover)

Location: Bristol

Reports to: Sr. Director UK Cluster & Regional Marketing

The Senior Manager Brand Activation will head up a team of 5, 2 direct reports and 3 indirect reports, that develops the Home Fragrance consumer activation plans for the EMEA region. Scope of responsibilities include but is not limited to, public relations agency management and annual planning, social media planning, consumer promotions, creative development of all BTL assets and in store activation. This position will work cross-functionally, both internally and externally, to align on priorities, ensure integration of brands plans and creatives across the board.

Specific Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Team Management

\xc2\xb7 Foster an environment of trust, partnership and ownership within the team and with the crosffunctional partners

\xc2\xb7 Establish a collaborative partnership with Cluster Marketing and Brand Management Leads

\xc2\xb7 Continue to strengthen the relationship between the Regional and Global teams

\xc2\xb7 Play a leadership role for regional activation, championing the brands activation for the cluste.r

Annual Activation Plans

\xc2\xb7 Develop Brand Activation plans in support of Home Fragrance strategy and priorities

\xc2\xb7 Develop Public Relations plans and set out KPI\xe2\x80\x99s for Yankee Candle\xc2\xae and WoodWick\xc2\xae in partnership with our agencies

\xc2\xb7 Ensures seamless connection between Brand Management, the Cluster Marketing, eComm and Brand Activation teams to deliver on set out annual plans

\xc2\xb7 Ensures that plans are shared and followed by our Distributor Partners across EMEA

\xc2\xb7 Partner with US counterparts, ensuring EMEA needs are representened while striving for global synergies

Consumer Promotions

\xc2\xb7 Outline main annual promotional moments for the regions and brands

\xc2\xb7 Develops creative direction for Cluster Teams to implement with their customers

Brand Campaigns

\xc2\xb7 Oversees and approves Brand Campaign development for all brands

\xc2\xb7 Ensures Brand Campaigns align to Brand positioning, Target consumers and Brand guidelines

Social Media Strategy and Management

\xc2\xb7 Closely partner with the social media manager on refinement of EMEA social media strategy

\xc2\xb7 Monitor effectiveness of social media campaigns and tactics; ensuring we reach our desired audiences and delivering on commercial KPI\xe2\x80\x99s

Develop and Execute Displays

\xc2\xb7 Ensures displays adhere to Brand Identity guidelines

\xc2\xb7 Monitors display effectiveness and contribution to annual category plan/growth objectives

In Store Conusumer Activation & Trade Show Design

\xc2\xb7 Oversees development of In-Store execution ensuring alignment with brand guidelines ensuring an optimised shopper experience

\xc2\xb7 Partners with the Visual Merchandising Manager on developing an overarching Tradeshow concept for the region and for distribution partners

Marketing Input into Customer Plans

\xc2\xb7 Partners with Cluster Marketing teams to provide strategic input to customer plans for Category

Creative Ownership

\xc2\xb7 Oversees all creative across the region and the clusters ensuring consistency across the brands and strong, effective visual execution

Marketing Development (users & usage)

\xc2\xb7 Leverages insights including shopper marketing in partnership with CSI, Analytics and Brand Management to optimize short-term consumer activation plans & tactics

Budget Management

\xc2\xb7 Owns the distribution and deployment of the EMEA A&P marketing budget

Qualifications

The Candidate

Key Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree (emphasis in business/marketing or related field), MBA or other advanced degree highly preferred

\xc2\xb7 Experience working with a leading CPG company (Marketing Management, Brand Management, Brand Activation roles)

\xc2\xb7 Experience of leading a team and developing indiviudals

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated knowledge of brand management and marketing philosophies, tools and processes and proven record of success.

\xc2\xb7 Strategic thinking, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with aggressive deadlines

\xc2\xb7 Experience working in a highly complex matrix organisation

\xc2\xb7 Advanced analytical skills and computer software proficiency (e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Multi-channel experience and shopper understanding.

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to travel 10% of the time.

\xc2\xb7 Convey complex issues brilliantly with excellent communication and presentation skills
