We are Seddons, a friendly, independent estate agent, specialising in residential sales, lettings & property management, based in the heart of Mid Devon, and we're on the lookout for a full-time Senior Lettings Negotiator to join our team in Tiverton.

About the role



Senior Lettings Negotiator

As a Senior Lettings Negotiator, you will play a key role in driving the success of our lettings department. You will be responsible for managing the lettings process from start to finish, developing new business opportunities, and providing outstanding service to clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lettings professional looking to progress in their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Actively manage the lettings process, including marketing properties, conducting viewings, and negotiating agreements. Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and tenants. Identify new business opportunities and secure new instructions. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations. Provide expert advice to clients, guiding them through the rental process. Maintain accurate records and ensure the CRM system is up-to-date.

Requirements:



Proven experience in a similar role within the property lettings industry. Strong knowledge of lettings legislation and industry standards. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Exceptional customer service skills and a client-focused approach. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. A proactive, motivated, and results-driven mindset. Full UK driving license

What you need to bring to the table



Essential to be a team player.

A calm approachable manner when dealing with landlords, contractors and tenants.

A willingness to learn all aspects of the Lettings industry and cover for staff absences.

Confidence whilst working under time sensitive and high-volume workloads.

Enthusiasm to learn and continuously develop your knowledge and skills to drive your career within the property industry.

This full-time role would ideally suit someone who enjoys working as part of team and is keen to learn within a supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to deal with a diverse range of property with the ideal candidate being proactive, well-organised, computer-literate and able to work on their own initiative.

As well as extensive knowledge of the geographic area you'll be working in, you'll need to have a strong customer focus, and a highly organised approach.

A clear and professional communicator, you're as comfortable listening to others as you are speaking with them, and you know how to adjust your approach to different situations.

You should be a self-aware team player - someone who puts people first and can work collaboratively with customers and colleagues alike.

Beyond that, we`ll want to see the kind of energy and drive that will get the right results for your customers, your career and our business.

A full driving licence is essential.



ARLA Qualified preferred, but training can be arranged.

The role is available on a full-time basis.

Preferred hours are Monday - Friday 8.45am to 5.30pm + 1/4 Saturday 8.45am to 1pm
