Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions within a legal environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the firm.

Responsibilities

Process client payments and receipts accurately, ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with legal regulations. Able to deal with Pay Roll Manage accounts payable, including the timely processing of invoices and payments to suppliers. Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise. Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review. Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and other legal requirements related to financial transactions. Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Deal with Vat returns Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations within the firm.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse financial data accurately. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with clients and colleagues effectively.
