We are looking for a Senior Legacy Officer for a 12 month Maternity Cover with an inspiring international animal charity, to lead on the effective administration of all legacies in which the charity is a Beneficiary. This role is 28 hours per week.
This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days a week in the London office.
The Charity
A passionate charity with a staff of around 200, dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of animals that in turn give people in the developing world the opportunity to work their way out of poverty, securing c21m last year. The Role
Administer a caseload of residuary and contentious legacies as appropriate
Support the Legacy Administration Manager to oversee the caseloads of reversionary and pecuniary cases
Establish, develop and maintain relationships with legal, financial and tax professional, maximising opportunities to promote the charity where appropriate.
Coach the Legacy Officer ( Administration) to develop their skills and ensure they achieve their objectives and encourage their CPD
The Candidate
Experience of legacy fundraising & administration (in particular working towards or already holding CiCLA) and committed to continual professional development (CPD)
Experience of working with databases and data input work with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrable experience of Probate work in relation to charities, charity legacy administration or equivalent.
Up to date knowledge of charity and tax law where it relates to probate and fundraising issues and actively identifying and implementing changes
