About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Lecturer in Statistics. The post holder will deliver research aligned to the efforts of Swansea Trials Unit (STU). STU is a UKCRC registered Clinical Trials Unit and requires a senior statistician with substantial expertise in clinical trials, health services research and analysis of complex studies. The role will involve providing statistical, IT and data management oversight for existing STU studies, supervising project funded statisticians/IT specialists/data managers, providing input into strategic trials unit activities and statistical/IT/data management input into the development of new research proposals for funding. The postholder will contribute to teaching and project supervision on the BSc Population Health and Medical Sciences (https://www.swansea.ac.uk/undergraduate/courses/medicine/population-health-and-medical-sciences-bsc-hons/) and MSc Health Data Science ( ) and share organisational and academic administrative responsibilities that will include reporting to STU funders as well as participation in UKCRC and NHS committees as appropriate. The post holder will be essential in ensuring the effective development, conduct, management, and delivery of the STU portfolio of high-quality research.
