Job Summary

Avantor is looking for a Senior Laboratory Technician to join our team at Speke in Liverpool on a full-time, permanent basis.You will be based in laboratory, working alongside your team colleagues, and supporting scientific processes to meet customer business needs.

Working hours: from Monday to Thursday 8:00am \xe2\x80\x93 4:45pm and finishing early on Friday \xe2\x80\x93 8:00am \xe2\x80\x93 1:00pm.

This opportunity is ideal for someone, who has first experience in laboratory, and would like to join business leading company with possibilities of progression. We are open to applicants from all industries, as training will be provided, however you need to have proven understanding of laboratory processes.

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for

• Education: Degree is not required, but knowledge and understanding of how laboratory works is required
• Experience: Minimum 6 months of laboratory experience in a professional environment

• Team-player, with can-do, positive attitude

How you will thrive and create an impact

• Scientific processes management around egg work and completing paperwork
• Media and red blood cells preparation and cell culture processes
• Step in Service Lead absence to host meeting with customer
• Handling movement of samples around site, collecting deliveries and distribution
• Laboratory housekeeping work (waste management, equipment maintenance, maintenance of sterility of equipment and laboratories
