The Project Manager / Technical Lead will lead & oversee a variety of key areas within the CIO Homes domain, working with a wider range of business and technical stakeholders, as well as managing 3rd party dependencies. The successful candidate will be familiar with a range of delivery methodologies (from traditional to agile) to manage technical projects that deliver best-in-class customer, colleague and third-party journeys and reduce obsolescence risk.

Creating and managing technology plans for a diverse range of projects such as the migration of the legacy application and databases elements from the third-party vendors, ensuring controls are in place to drive quality and accuracy of migration and other projects as necessary.
Engaging architectural resources within the bank to agree the target architecture to mitigate obsolescence risk in accordance with the bank\xe2\x80\x99s architectural principles.
Coordinating infrastructure implementation, leveraging key resources across the bank.
Driving the reduction of obsolescence risk through proactively working with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities to upgrade, migrate and decommission assets on a continual basis.
Troubleshooting issues within the legacy technology environment and convene senior stakeholders from across several areas within the bank to drive resolutions.
Implementing technical controls to manage risk within delivery e.g., technology risk mitigation strategies when dual-running platforms, risk reduction within migration programmes and to support recovery of in-flight programmes.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring.
Leads by example and proactively identifies, assess, manages and reports risks acting where appropriate to remediate or escalate potential risks (single point of escalation for projects and programmes).
Confident in the application of a range of delivery methodologies from traditional waterfall to modern devops and agile delivery.
Proven track record in PM/project management role with strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
Proven track record on the successful management and mitigation of risks associated to project/programme implementation.
Excellent relationship building, influencing & negotiating skills, up to Executive level both internally & externally with significant experience on updating, presenting recommendations, and discussing alternatives with senior executives.
Experience of leading large scale delivery programmes which includes a significant element of Migration activity.
It would also be nice for you to have.
Understanding of the financial market, experience with Mortgage systems is an advantage.
PRINCE 2 practitioner or external PMO certification are advantageous but not mandatory.
Degree level education in relevant subject is desirable.
