Senior It Engineer Emea (remote)

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

As a Senior IT Engineer at Drata, you'll play a critical role in scaling our global IT operations and supporting our rapidly growing team. Based in London, you'll be a key member of a forward-thinking IT team focused on enabling efficiency, security, and productivity across the organization.

In this role, you won't just be keeping the lights on -- you'll be pushing boundaries. You'll help drive the evolution of our IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on automation, identity and access management (IAM), compliance, and deliverability. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure our systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with the needs of a high-performing remote-first company.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a cloud-native, SaaS-heavy environment and who's passionate about using modern tools and automation to deliver world-class employee experiences. You'll also be hands-on with Drata's own security and compliance automation platform, helping ensure we meet internal IT controls and compliance standards.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute externally through blogging, speaking engagements, and tech community events -- showcasing the innovative work we're doing and helping others learn from our approach.

What you'll do:

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automation across user lifecycle management, SaaS provisioning, licensing, and security workflows Own the full lifecycle of IT automation -- from gathering requirements to architecting, building, and maintaining integrations across our tools Strengthen and maintain our IAM strategy to ensure access is secure, minimal, and aligned with compliance standards Contribute to high-impact, cross-functional initiatives to expand and evolve our corporate IT infrastructure -- with a strong focus on infrastructure as code Design and deploy scalable automation to streamline complex workflows and improve operational efficiency Collaborate with the Security team to continually raise the bar on our IT security posture Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, support processes, and integration templates Provide IT support coverage during EMEA business hours to ensure timely assistance for regional teams. Flexibility to align with the U.S.-based operations when needed, including occasional shifts that accommodate U.S. working hours Work closely with IT Operations to optimize support processes and automate day-to-day tasks for better service delivery Help manage the London office, including maintaining IT assets, supporting Zoom Rooms, and ensuring the space is set up for a smooth in-person experience

What you'll bring:

Like Apple products? So do we! We're a heavy Mac shop, so deep technical knowledge of macOS and strong experience with MDM tools like Kandji or JAMF is a must Be our gatekeeper around Identity Access Management -- you should have hands-on experience with SSO/SAML solutions like Okta, and be confident designing and configuring IAM systems We live in the cloud, so experience with AWS or GCP is important Proven ability to write custom solutions in Python (or similar) to tackle more complex challenges Proficiency with APIs and logic-based thinking to build with low-code/no-code tools like Okta Workflows, Tines, or Tray.io Experience with core collaboration and enterprise tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom -- and the ability to quickly ramp up on new platforms as needed Strategic thinking around how automation can be used to scale and optimize business processes A self-starter mentality -- you're comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and making decisions with minimal oversight We're curious and always learning -- and we want you to bring that same energy and growth mindset Be awesome! You'll need to work well with your peers, especially when they come to you frustrated -- kindness, patience, and clear communication go a long way

Nice to Haves:

Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform to manage and deploy cloud resources in a scalable, repeatable way.

Benefits:

Supplemental Health Benefits Offered Learning & Development: $500 annually towards professional development opportunities + $250 annually towards personal development opportunities Flexible Time Off: Flexible vacation policy for strong, fully charged batteries 16 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: An inclusive policy to ensure you have time with your newborn, newly adopted, or foster child Work Remotely: Flexible hours and work from home + $1,000 annually to cover necessary business related items for your home office

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and stock, typically in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The expected salary range for this role is GBP 68,300 - 84,420, subject to change.

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone's leveling and compensation-including a candidate's professional background and experience. These ranges may be modified in the future and final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above.
